      Our 10th FIT Tournament at this fantastic location was a huge success. We always appreciate and thank our wonderful sponsors of this event, held here in the heart of New York City, the greatest city in the World! Our major sponsors for this event were Metro Funding Corp represented by Mr. David Hecht, President, Fashion Institute of Technology represented by Ms. Kerri McTeirnan and Mr. Wayne Chin.

The Open Event was won by Gao Yun Jun over Ernesto Ebuen in a very exciting final. These two have met a couple of times in previous events with this time, Gao overpowering Ernesto's consistency.

Again I wish to give a big thank you to the table tennis community and especially to all of those players that participated.  I hope to see you all again.

Metro Funding Sponsors Table Tennis Tournaments Metro Funding Corp. (MFC), a private asset-based commercial real estate lender recently sponsored a table tennis tournament in New York City. The Metro Funding Open took place at the Fashion Institute of Technology on February 28 - March 1, 2009. The company responsible for organizing the Metro Funding Open and many other USATT sanctioned tournaments is Lily Yip Sports Inc, a company owned by Lily Yip, two-time US Olympian in the sport of Table Tennis.

“Metro Funding supports the sport of table tennis and has sponsored several tournaments over the years,” says David Hecht, MFC President and table tennis enthusiast. Metro believes that it is important to participate in and sponsor local community events. Table tennis is an exciting sport that is continuing to grow in the United States. In all, there were several hundred participants in the tournament among them were several MFC employees who joined in the fun.

Metro Funding Corp., headquartered in Paramus, NJ is a commercial real estate lending company specializing in asset-based opportunity (hard money) loans. Metro Funding Corp. provides domestic and international loans to corporate entities.
