Tai Xing Cup - 8th FIT Open Table Tennis Championships

The Tai Xing Cup - 8th FIT Open was again a great success.  We would like to thank our wonderful sponsors Mr. Matushashi of the Tai Xing Paper Company, David Hecht of Metro Funding Corporation, Dan Kramer of Kramer Appraisal Services and Kerri McTiernan of the Fashion Institute of Technology. Because of their generous support we are able to run this major table tennis event in  New York City.  Of course we also thank and greatly appreciate all the support we always receive from the players and especially the Northeast Table Tennis Community.

Wayne Chin, one of our Tournament Directors was again very helpful in making sure the College Event ran smoothly. 

The Open was won a third time in a row by Gao Yan Jun, this time over Ernesto Ebuen in seven hard fought games.  There were many exciting matches and close calls in the open.  Sydney Christophe was leading two games to zero and 10-6 against Gao but couldn't get that last crucial point, although he did play brilliantly.

I would also like to thank all of the Junior Programs in the NY/NJ/Pa area for bringing so many juniors to our event.  Do not forget these promoters and coaches because they are doing a wonderful job and the future of our sport is very bright because of their help.  We had over 30 players in the Under 15; 26 players in the Under 13; 13 players in the under 18 and 11 players in the under 10. I would like to list some of the promoters and coaches below, please watch them as they have some future stars  ready to break out:
